Legal exchanges with WPCC and Judicial Review

3rd of May 2013

The following response to the Acknowledgement of Service documents listed below was sent to the High Court on the 2nd of May on behalf of the Claimant, Nicholas Evans.

19th of April 2013
An 'Acknowledgement of Service' has been received from Gregsons, acting for the Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators.
A similar 'Acknowledgement of Service' has been received from Sharpe Pritchard acting for Wandsworth Borough Council

22nd of March 2013
Claim Form is filed with the High Court in the name of Nicholas Evans as representative of FofPC. The grounds for the action also contain a justification for any delay taken in bringing the claim to court.

Procedure will require that the Conservators as Defendants and the Wandsworth Council as an interested party will acknowledge their receipt of the claim and related papers within 21 days and also file a defence. The High Court will then consider whether the action should be considered for Judicial review. It is possible that this will take a couple of months. Assuming that the Court wishes to proceed at that point, the matter will then be scheduled for a later hearing.

19th of March 2013
Letter from Sharpe Pritchard, Solicitors representing Wandsworth Borough Council, also citing defence of 'delay'.

5th of March 2013

18th of February 2013

This file includes detailed plans demonstrating the encroachment made on to the Common since 1911 by Putney Hospital and also provides copies of the proposed plans related to the development which was quashed in the High Court on March 8th 2013.
